Today Pea and I went to a local consignment store to look for some new clothes for her because she is growing like a little weed, when we pulled into the parking lot I could hear her saying something that sounded like "bike" I was confused because not only could I not see a bike I had never heard her say "bike" before. We got out and I put Pea into the sling and started walking into the store and all of a sudden she got really excited "BIKE MAMA!! BIKE BIKE!!" I turned and looked where she was pointed and saw a shiny red trike. Daddy and I had discussed getting Pea a bike for her birthday but we are still torn on what to get. Our first inclination was that we wanted her to have a balance bike but now we are thinking a trike might be good for this year and a balance bike next year. Anyway we still have over a month to decide.
Pea and I have been talking about birthdays since Uncle B had a birthday last month. The other day I asked her what she wanted for her birthday and she said a doll, then she said that Baby-o (her beloved first doll) wants a friend. Since then for 3 days in a row she has woken up and told me she wants a doll for her birthday. The funny thing is that I have ordered her a custom Sew Funky doll (www.sewfunky.ca) for her birthday and I cannot wait to see her face when she meets her new doll. So that's it, my little girl is going to be 2 in just over a month. Seems like yesterday I was cuddling my little newborn. Time flies when you are loving life.
